Criminal Law (American Casebook Series, Hornbook Series and Basic Legal Texts Nutshell seRies)
Published in Hardcover by West Wadsworth (November, 1900)
Average review score:

A great helpThis book was first recommended to me by an undergraduate professor as a tool for gaining a fundamental understanding of certain limited cases. However, after checking it out from the library on multiple occasions, I finally broke down and bought it. The authors present material in such a way that even those subjects beyond the scope of my research became interesting.
Overall, the book is a very thorough and organized treatment of the subject of Criminal Law. It is of invaluable assistance for anyone, not just students, hoping to gain a greater understanding of the developments of criminal jursiprudence. And while all of the books in this series are helpful study aids, this book's particular strength is its accessability. It condenses tremendous amounts of complex information into extremely readable segments. It is an engaging and surprisingly entertaining volume, and highly recommended.

Cross-Cultural Reentry: A Book of Readings
Published in Paperback by Abilene Christian Univ Pr (June, 1986)
Average review score:

Shared experiences from those who have gone before...Cross-Culture Reentry is a great collection of studies, personal accounts and reasearch about the effects of returning to your host culture from living in a foreign culture. After having lived and worked in Germany myself for an American company and then returning to America the only thing I can say is I wish I had read Clyde Austin's book before I went. Even though my company does business in 25 countries around the world we don't do anything to prepare our associates for the rigors of living in a foriegn country or the harder task of returning to a host country. Cross-Culture Reentry has numerous creative recommendations for individuals and companies to plan for, maintain and re-culturize employees as they transition through the maze of crossing cultures. I have taken on a personal mission in our company to implement many of the fundamentals this fine book has to offer. More than anything in this book I appreciated reading the cross-culture stories of various individuals and their families...they let me know I am not alone in my re-culturization process.

The Curse of the Sunken Treasure (Which Way Books, No. 7)
Published in Paperback by Simon Pulse (March, 1985)
Average review score:

Exciting which-way book is great funI've had this book on my book shelf for years now. It takes you on a facinating, and sometimes frightning, journey. It all starts in a sleepy little fishing town, as you get from bed to investigate an errie green glow coming from the ocean. You'll take a terrifying trip on a pirate ship, meet up with the most spine tingling aliens, and run for your life as bloodthirsty werewolves hunt you down in an edge of your seat climax. Of course this is a which-way book, so the directions are up to you. However, let it be known that many of them lead to gruesome deaths, while others take a more "Twilight Zone" approach. This is one book that you'll read over and over again, discovering many new horrifying journeys along the way.

David Austin's Roses 2003 Engagement Calendar
Published in Paperback by Andrews McMeel Publishing (September, 1902)
Average review score:

Worth TEN StarsThis exquisite appointment calendar is on my Wish List, not because I need yet another 2003 calendar, but because David Austin's pictures of roses are among the most lifelike and incredibly moving I have ever seen. Although I am an avid gardener, I don't as a rule buy many flower calendars, preferring the real flowers to the pictures. But this calendar is different. One has to keep oneself from sniffing the pages, the roses are so real! Each rose is identified as well, which is a real pleasure, and the appointment pages are uncluttered and easy to use. I love this!

Divine Action: Studies Inspired by the Philosophical Theology of Austin Farrer
Published in Hardcover by T&t Clark Ltd (June, 1900)
Average review score:

An important and valuable studyThis book is a collection of well-crafted, highly useful essays on the important twentieth-century thinker Austin Farrer, an Oxford don and priest of the Church of England. Anyone interested in philosophical theology, in British theology during the era of C. S. Lewis, in modern understandings of divine providence, or in the relationship between theology and spirituality should examine this work carefully. Very nicely done.
